The Call for Papers is addressed to teachers and experts as well as to coordinators of projects and initiatives in the field of education and training.

We would like to encourage you to submit an abstract of a paper to be presented during the Future of Education Conference. The abstract should be written in English (300 words) and sent via e-mail to edu_future@pixel-online.net no later than 14 February 2011.

FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS

Birmingham, UK. 5th July 2011

We are pleased to invite academic researchers to submit research papers for presentation at the next JFMPS conference. The culture of the conference is friendly and supportive and in recent years we have been fully subscribed so an early expression of interest is encouraged even though we plan to expand the conference capacity. The Latest date for the submission of papers is the 30th April 2011. Contact john.webb@anglia.ac.uk for more details or to advise of your intention to submit – initial expressions of interest are invited by 5th February 2011.

Proposals will be considered in the following areas: Accounting Education, Financial Reporting, Financial Management, Treasury, Taxation, Audit, Management and Strategy, Public Policy, Public Finance, Decision Making, Governance and Politics relating to Public Services both in the UK and internationally. Papers may be in the form of completed research or progress papers.

UCET £1500 travel scholarship

Dear International Committee, R&D Committee and Management Forum colleagues

I am pleased to announce that the deadline for applications for this year’s UCET travel scholarships has been extended to Friday 18 March. We will, as in recent years, be awarding two travel scholarships to colleagues new to teacher education and/or education research. Each award is worth up to £1,500. The recipients will have the opportunity to present the findings of their research at the annual UCET conference.
